We offer vaccinations and annual check ups for dogs, cats and exotic pets. A vaccination consultation will include a full physical examination, dental check, weight check and discussion regarding any issues the pet may have.
Caring Vets are available for consultations 5 days a week. We do run by appointment, so please call to make a booking, or click ‘Book Online’ at the top of the page. Consultations are available 9:00am to 7:00pm Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and 9:00am to 2:00pm Tuesdays and Thursdays. We are currently closed weekends and public holidays.
These services are all available as a nurse consult, but bookings are essential.
A nurse dental check is available year-round and cost estimates can be provided where dental work is recommended. Comprehensive dental procedures are performed within the hospital including dental digital x-rays.
Caring Vets performs a wide range of soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery including desexings, lump removals, dentistry, amputations, fracture repairs, major abdominal surgery and cruciate repairs. If you would need any of these services it would be best to give the team a call and we can go through all your options.
As our hospital is closed overnight and patients are unsupervised we will often refer patients to ARH for afterhours monitoring where required. Occasionally stable patients may remain within the hospital and their level of care and supervision will be carefully explained prior to their stay. For all afterhours emergencies please call Animal Referral Hospital, Homebush (ARH) on 02 9758 8666.
All injured or homeless wildlife are welcome at Caring Vets Hospital and will be treated at no cost. Please ensure the animal is kept warm and safe before bringing up to the hospital and make sure you know the address of where the animal was found (as if releasable they will be released in this same spot if possible). For further advice please call Sydney Wildlife on 9413 4300 or go to their website https://www.sydneywildlife.org.au/. Please note that it’s illegal for a member of the public to provide continued care of a wild animal, therefore once we have cleared the animal of any health issues they will be passed on to a certified wildlife carer who will prepare and assess them for release.
Caring Vets offers Puppy Preschool to puppies from ages 8 – 16 weeks of age. The classes are held at the clinic Monday or Wednesday evenings at 7:30pm. The course runs for four weeks, of one class per week. Learn more.
